Gunther Motor Company Sponsors First Collective Impact Awards

Gunther Motor Company

WEST PALM BEACH, FL, Tuesday, February 27, 2024 - Gunther Motor Company served as the title sponsor for the inaugural FLITE Center Gunther Motor Company Collective Impact Awards presented by South Florida Business & Wealth.

CBS12 News Anchor Liz Quirantes serves as Mistress of Ceremonies, community collectives presented with awards

The event marked a triumphant occasion as nearly 150 advocates, supporters, and community members gathered together at the illustrious Ben Autograph Collection Hotel in downtown West Palm Beach to help advance the FLITE Center's mission to support vulnerable youth in South Florida's Transitional Independent Living (TIL) System of Care.

These young people often struggle with the transition from the foster care systems of their youth to adulthood, and providing them with the resources and support they need can change the trajectory of their lives. Connecting them with education, employment opportunities, housing options, and health and wellness services serves both the individual and the community at large.

Gunther Motor Company was proud to celebrate the multiple organizations that work to advance the FLITE Center's cause. CBS12 News Anchor Liz Quirantes served as Mistress of Ceremonies to honor the following community collectives: The Frederick A. DeLuca Foundation; Excel Construction of Florida; Payne Chapel AME Church; Palm Beach County Human Trafficking Task Force; Suzanne Cabrera, CEO, Housing Leadership Council; Junior League of the Palm Beaches; and a special in-memoriam dedication to Marian M.E. Bluntson Wingate. Thanks to the tireless efforts of these organizations, youth will not have to face their journeys toward adulthood alone.

Also in attendance were Palm Beach County Commissioners Sara Baxter, Michael Barnett, Greg Weiss, and Vice Mayor/Commissioner Maria Marino, who recognized and praised the FLITE Center's commitment to guiding our most at-risk youth toward self-sufficiency. Since 2021, the FLITE Center has played a vital role in Palm Beach County. Of special note was the FLITE Center's transitional youth efforts in Palm Beach County and the aid they provide to those who have survived human trafficking.

Gunther Motor Company would like to extend a special thank you to all of the event's generous sponsors, including South Florida Business & Wealth; Goldlaw; DEX Imaging; Vegso Family Foundation; Lesser, Lesser, Landy & Smith; ChildNet; the Reicherter Foundation; Goodman PR; The Ben Autograph Collection Hotel; Waterstone Hotel & Marina; Promo Girl; Oceans 234; Don Ramon Restaurant Cubano; Heidi Schaeffer, M.D.; Silvia P.
